A direct cremation is an unattended funeral. It allows you to take your time and commemorate a life in whatever way feels right for you. The cremation usually takes place within a two weeks and the ashes are either returned or scattered according to your wishes. This option is increasingly popular because it offers dignity, flexibility and affordability, and avoids the rush and expense of a traditional funeral.

If you’d like to plan your own direct cremation, our Plan Ahead option allows you to record your wishes and pay today to guarantee tomorrow’s price. If a direct cremation isn’t suitable, we can also arrange a traditional funeral, offering a full service at a local crematorium or church.
